Hello, I’m Neil Shaw, Team Rector at Christ Church

I'm married to Philippa and have four grown up children from my first marriage.

My Facebook intro describes me as...husband, dad, ageing rocker, gym slinger and Jesus follower. It doesn't mention that in the Rectory the Kitchen is mine and the Garage is Philippa's. Our choices!!

OUR MISSION

We, belonging to Christ's Church, come to find in our relationship with God the joy and peace that he gives us through his complete acceptance of us whatever our faults and his willingness to walk with us whatever our circumstances

Christ Church churchyard consists of the old churchyard, the Garden of Remembrance, the extension and the woodland extension (entrance near the cul-de-sac on Station Road). The graveyard is full, so no new plots are available, however interments are still possible in existing plots.

Christ Church Padgate

A Parish Church in the Diocese of Liverpool, Deanery of Warrington, ministering to a parish of 9500 people. The church is situated just three miles from Warrington town centre. The building was constructed of local brick and sandstone in 1838. A Chancel and Vestry were added in 1883. In 1992 a new porch was constructed in sympathy with the rest of the building and at the same time a Meeting Room with Gallery above was formed at the west end. A new electronic organ was purchased and installed after completion of the porch extension. We have recently installed an efficient sound system, and lighting has been improved. There is a toilet facility within the porch area, capable of accommodating disabled people.

The Head Teacher is Ian Williams.

We’re a Church of England Voluntary–Aided Primary school, which means that whatever your child can or can’t do, they matter to us because they are children living in the love of God. We welcome every child we’re able to take, whatever their background.
